Congregational Partner Grant Programs allow congregations to submit the funds to MLC. MLC matches that grant for each student.

Congregational Partner Grant Program

Congregations have the opportunity to directly encourage and support their members who are pursuing public ministry at Martin Luther College (MLC). Through the Congregational Partner Grant Program, members can financially support students’ ministry studies. MLC will then match the gift amount from a congregation, up to $1,750 per student for the 2026–27 academic year, to further the impact on students.

Keep an eye out for this month’s WELS Connection to see how Ben Schoch, an MLC student from Chesaning, Mich., has been blessed by the program.

Endowments provide continued support for ministry

Endowments keep ministry moving forward

An endowment fund provides ongoing, dependable support for gospel ministry. Once established, the principal remains invested, while annual distributions are made available to support ministry allowing the impact of a gift to continue year after year. Working with WELS Foundation, St. Paul in Appleton, Wis., took a one-time gift and turned it into a lifetime of connecting people to Christ.
